As a result of training over 13,000 dogs during my 30-year career as a dog obedience instructor, I have developed an effective method of training using a balance of praise and love as a motivator, not treats. With this method of training, dogs are truly trained and not just “kitchen trained.” All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. Vaccination records can be faxed to 630-894-7763. One handler per dog in class but entire family welcome to attend.

PUPPY CLASS
Puppies 8-20 weeks
4 weeks $60
This class is designed to get puppy off on the right foot. Puppies will be exposed to different sights and sounds. Your puppy’s experiences during this critical development period could be the single most important factor in determining her temperament and behavior as an adult. Give you and your new puppy the gift of early socialization. Your efforts will pay off for a lifetime. Emphasis will be on puppy socialization and obedience planned around the short attention span of a puppy. Topics to be covered include: puppy play biting, house training, walking nicely on leash, greeting people politely, learning not to guard food or bones, chewing and learning to be handled and petted by everyone. Each class will have time for questions and answers. Bring a puppy toy to play with and share.
BEGINNING DOG OBEDIENCE
Dogs 5 months and older.
10 weeks $150
The handler must be old enough to have control over the dog. A six-foot leather leash and a properly fitted chain collar are required. Dogs are motivated using praise not treats and are trained to respond to first command. Dogs are taught to heel without pulling, automatic sits, sit and down stay during distractions while the handlers are out of sight, come immediately when called off leash, stand stay.
INTERMEDIATE DOG OBEDIENCE
For dogs that have successfully completed the Beginning Obedience class or instructor consent.
10 weeks $150
This class will include the reinforcement of the beginning exercises along with off leash heeling, drop at a distance, drop on recall, hand signals and preparation for the agility class.
ADVANCED OBEDIENCE/AGILITY I
For dogs that have successfully completed the Intermediate Obedience class or instructor consent.
10 weeks $150
This class is the most fun and the best exercise you can have with your dog. Dogs zip through tunnels, climb a tall A-frame, hurdle over jumps, traverse a narrow dog walk, maneuver through weave poles, travel up and over a see-saw, all while racing against the clock. Dogs must have completed the intermediate class. This class includes a consolidation continuation of obedience using hand signals.
ADVANCED OBEDIENCE/AGILITY II
For dogs that have successfully completed the Advanced Obedience/Agility I class or instructor consent.

PRIVATE LESSONS

This class is tailored to the individual needs of the participants and for those who would like the individual attention given during private lessons. TRAINING DURING PLAY CARE
4 Months and Up
1 hour $40
Training will be broken up into intervals through out the play care day. This will allow us to brush up or fine tune any specific exercises or behaviors that need modification.
SLEEPOVER TRAINING
5 Months and Up
3 Weeks $1,500
Includes 3 weeks of play care and boarding
Sleep over training is for those that are too busy or who will be traveling and would like to have their dogs trained while they are away. .
